DESCRIPTION:Jim Bontrager is a United States Marine\, former Reserve Officer and full-time Chaplain with the Elkhart Police Department (Indiana). He is President of the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC)\, the world’s leading Law Enforcement Chaplain training organization. He is a Certified Instructor with the ICPC and holds a Fellow Chaplain Credential with this organization. He is a Certified Law Enforcement Instructor for the state of Indiana and is the author of the official Law Enforcement curriculum for the movie Courageous. He is the Founder and Director of Warrior on the Wall which works to address law enforcement suicide\, family breakdown\, and the unique emotional and spiritual challenges to the profession. He is a recipient of the Indiana State Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement Chaplaincy (2012)\, the Excellence in Leadership Award from Pointman Leadership Institute (2013)\, the Richard S. Kassel Award for Outstanding Service to ICPC Region 4 (2016)\, the Pilsung Warrior Award (2017)\, and the ICPC John A. Price Excellence in Chaplaincy Award (2018).
