DESCRIPTION:Tom Thibodeau is a popular professor\, talented public speaker and an extremely active community member who lives the values of Viterbo University. \nHis servant leadership journey started when he was a young man growing up in Wisconsin Rapids. He is the eldest of six kids and offering to help within his household and community was something he learned early on. Service and helping was something he knew he wanted to do the rest of his life. \nSince coming to Viterbo University in 1984\, he has inspired students through the years with his infectious enthusiasm\, compassion and commitment to leadership and service. He has also inspired countless colleagues and community members. He is the founder of the Master of Arts in Servant Leadership program\, the first master’s degree of its kind in the nation. He is also a founding member of the Place of Grace\, a Catholic worker house\, established in La Crosse in 1996. \nHe regularly leads The Ethical Life seminars and offers a Serving the Common Good seminar focused on homelessness. He has given thousands of speeches about the importance of treating people with dignity and the core principles of servant leadership. Tom is a husband\, father\, grandfather\, teacher and an active community member. \nTickets\nTicket sales have closed for this year’s event.
