DESCRIPTION:The Mayoral Prayer Breakfast is an event held each year in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer (1st Thursday in May). The Mayoral Prayer Breakfast Committee\, a group of Christian ministers\, businessmen\, and military person\, meet regularly throughout the year to plan this event and pray for our leaders. They also work together with numerous local sponsors to host the event during which prayers are offered for our communities’ leader and those in authority as well as for our state\, our nation\, and the world. \nThis annual event includes breakfast\, a time of prayer for our community leaders\, and a keynote speaker who shares how they have overcome hardship and how prayer is important to their life. \nThe Mayoral Prayer Breakfast is funded solely by donations and no taxpayer dollars are utilized to support this event. \nWatch the 2020 Greater La Crosse Area Mayoral Prayer Breakfast\n\n  \nSpecial Guest Speaker: Dr. Mark T. Barclay\nDr. Mark T. Barclay is known as a Preacher of Righteousness. He is a proven\, precise leader among ministers worldwide. For over 40 years\, Dr. Barclay has traveled the world over\, preaching the Word of God. \nAuthor of many books\, curricula\, syllabi\, and periodicals\, he has become known as a prolific contemporary writer\, literally shaping the futures of many people and demanding growth of a higher caliber throughout the body of Christ. \nThe Mark T. Barclay National Telecast is reaching millions of people weekly with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. Barclay is the founding pastor of Living Word International Church. From this world headquarters church\, Dr. Barclay travels extensively as a convention speaker and produces the ministry television program. \nHe is also president and founder of Supernatural Ministries Training Institute\, a network of training centers across the nation and in other countries of the world\, training believers to find their gifts and callings. He is providing leadership to a multitude of ministers globally through his ministerial network\, The Righteous Preachers’ Network. \nDr. Barclay is a Vietnam combat veteran\, honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps whom he served for 21 months/two combat tours as a Sergeant. For his service\, Dr. Barclay is the recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze stars\, Vietnam Campaign Medals\, a Letter of Commendation – Admiral 7th Fleet Attack Force and a Presidential Citation for severe accomplishments. Following his service overseas\, he served as a Marine Instructor – recruit Battalion\, San Diego\, CA and at Camp Pendleton as a licensed marksmanship instructor – himself being qualified as a rifle and pistol “expert.” \nHe is a graduate of the Army-Navy Academy\, Carlsbad\, California; has a Bible degree from Berean Bible College\, San Diego\, California; a Bachelor of Arts degree\, Master of Business Administration degree\, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in religion from Golden State University\, California. \nDr. Barclay and his wife\, Vickie\, have been married for 50 years. They have 2 adult children\, Dawn and Josh\, both of whom\, with their spouses\, serve with him in the ministry. \nTickets\nThe Mayoral Prayer Breakfast will now be a Facebook Live Event.
